COViD19 Update - Cub Scout Outdoor Activity Award Cancelled

In order to protect our volunteers, staff and participants, the STEM NOVA Committee has decided to cancel this years' Cub Scout Outdoor Activity Award.  Payments will be refunded to the credit cards used for purchase.  We will be discussing ways to host NOVA classes in smaller settings over the course of the year, so please stay tuned for more information.

Cub Scout Outdoor Activity Award - April 24-25th at Camp To

What is the Award?

This award is for Cub Scouts at all levels to learn Outdoor Skills and become comfortable with the Outdoors.   This award can be completed more than once.

As explained on the Award Requirements PDF:

" Cub Scouts may earn the Cub Scout Outdoor Activity Award in each of the program years as long as the requirements are completed each year. The first time the award is earned, the boy will receive the pocket flap award, which is to be worn on the right pocket flap of the uniform shirt. Each successive time the award is earned, a wolf track pin may be added to the flap. "

Can going to this event help my youth earn this award?

Absolutely.   At this weekend youth can complete the outdoor activities need for the award.  The only parts not completed are:

  • Complete a Cub Scout Day Camp or Webelos Resident Camp
  • the required adventure for each rank (see the Award Requirements PDF for a listing of these).
