The event will be at Lost Pines Scout Reservation, 785 FM 1441, Bastrop TX.  Click here for a Google Map link.

Participants should park in the main parking area, see map to the right for more information, and then proceed to Lindsay Lodge for Check-in.   At Check-in, participants will be able to sign up for campsites, receive their schedule and more.   Please see below for more information about Check-in.

Class Schedule and Requirements

Notes about your Merit Badge Classes

  • All Instructors are registered merit badge counselors and professionals/serious hobbyist in the field they are teaching
  • Participants will be notified of changes as soon as possible.  Camp staff reserve the right to re-balance lopsided classes if class is offered at more than one time. 
  • If a class is cancelled for any reason before the event, an email will be sent and participants can select a different class during check-in.  If a class is cancelled during the event, announcements will be made before each meal and new classes can be selected at the A-Building.
  • If you any questions about your classes and changes in the schedule, please visit the A-Building near the flag poles!

How to Check in

Lindsay Lodge at LPSR

Check in opens at 6:00pm

  • Check in will open 
    • 6:00PM to 10:00PM Friday evening  
    • 6:30AM to  8:00AM Saturday morning 

  • Check in is located at Lindsay Lodge.  When you arrive, please park in the main parking and walk over to Lindsay Lodge.  

  • If you arrive after 8:00AM Saturday, please check in at the A-Building

  • If you bring your gear over to check in, please left it on the porch

Paperwork you need to bring to Check In

  •  Medical Form AB.  Click here to download
    • We will be keeping part A of your medical form, so please bring a copy.
    • If you are arriving as a troop, please have each youth bring up their medical form.   Do not bring medical forms in a binder (we just have to take them all out
  • Proof of current YPT - for adults only
  • Receipt if you pre-ordered a T-shirt

How to Sign Up for a Campsite

At check, you will be able to sign up for a campsite.  Campsite sign ups are first come, first serve.  

Event Rules and Regulations

No provisional Scouts

  •  All Scouts must be at camp with a parent, guardian, or adult troop leaders who are responsible for them. 
  • For multiple youth, two-deep leadership is a BSA requirement, and camp requires a 1-to-8 ratio of adults-to-youth. 

Adults are welcome but must have and follow YPT (youth protection training) at all times on camp. 

  • Any adult staying at camp should bring proof of current YPT 
  • Adults are welcome to sit in classes, attend classes, hang out at your campsite, etc.  
  • If any adult needs or wants something to do, please stop by the A-Building - we love volunteer help. 
  • Adults are reminded to follow youth protection training guidelines at all times. 
  • An adult training class on the STEM Nova program will be offered on Saturday afternoon in the dining hall. Nova counselors and Supernova mentors will be able to earn their trained cards.

Medical Issues

  • Any Scout or Scouter who becomes ill or hurt during STEM Adventure Weekend, please report to the med lodge, on the side of Lindsay Lodge.
  • Anyone coming to the med lodge should arrive with a parent or "buddy".

Food and Meals

  •  All meals will be in the Dining Hall.  
  • Please bring a reusable mug and water bottle to help reduce waste.  
  • Camp fees cover three meals Saturday, breakfast Sunday, plus cracker barrel snacks on Friday and Saturday nights. 


  •  Participants will need your own tent and personal gear (sleeping bag, clothes, toiletries, water bottle, mug). 
  • Bring rain gear just in case 
  • New regulations the Guide to Safe Scouting request that Scouts and Parents slept in separate tents.

Personal Electronics Policy 

  •  Some classes may use electronics as tools for their STEM lessons. 
  • Scouts are not to use devices during class unless instructed by the counselor. 


  •  Help keep Lost Pines clean and pick up trash anywhere you see it 

Electronic Completion Report


Each Scout will receive an Electronic Completion Report generated by the Doubleknot registration system. Blue cards will not be provided or signed at STEM Adventure Weekend.  

This report is a record of a Scout's progress in the pursuit of completing merit badges. The instructor will call roll at the beginning of each class.  After the class, the instructor will turn in the class list and requirements completed.  A printed copy of the report will be provided at checkout. The electronic completion report should be turned in to the Advancement Chair of your unit for proper recording of your achievements during the STEM Adventure Weekend.

Instructions on how to access these reports:

  1. Log into DoubleKnot (
  2. Click on My Account (top right corner below Capitol Area Council logo).
  3. Click on the Registrations tab
  4. Here you will see all your registrations.  On the bar with NOVA/STEM Adventure Weekend 2018, you can click on Reports under the Action column. 
  5. Click on the Class/Activity Completion Award link
  6. Click on print and select print as a pdf.  Now you can save the file and email it to the Scoutmaster, Advancement Chair and/or anyone who needs it for a record.

The Nova tracking cards obtained in Nova classes may be utilized for tracking progress toward those awards. The Nova tracking card is not an official BSA form, so if you encounter issues with official recording at your unit, please contact the Primary Staff Contact.
